A high and competent level of athletic ability is required in junior and adolescent athletes to enable them to enhance their sporting ability. This applies to every young athlete who participates in any sport.

Our coaching program provides training for athletes of ALL abilities and is inclusive to all athletes.

Growth and development in young athletes is of the utmost importance. All training has to be safe yet effective. Young athletes should be trained according to age, maturity and ability – not just ability.

Improved performance through fitness, strength, flexibility and technique will encourage and promote self-confidence and self esteem for athletes of all abilities, hence their continued development and participation in sport.

Not all athletes will be club, state or world champions, however an important element that does come from training is commitment. To train for your sport is no different than doing homework for school. By training you have a better chance of improving your performance and skill level.

Overall the desired outcomes of the program are:

- Improved Performance not only in Athletics but other sports

- To learn, have FUN and socialize with other Athletes

- Continuity in training

- Good health and wellbeing

- Commitment to training

- Future participation in sport

- Promote and encourage self esteem and self confidence

We look forward to seeing our athletes participate in Coburg Centre training each week.
