Each club is expected to provide parents to assist with set up and pack up each week.  Click here for roster.

The roster is set at the start of the season and allocates clubs to provide man power to set up and pack up as required each competition day, ie. setting out the equipment for competition as well as placing rubbish bins around the arena and maintaining the cleanliness of toilet blocks.

The Club on pack up duty is therefore eligible to run a raffle on that day to assist in their own fund-raising activities or are welcome to use the sno-cone machine (byo ice).

The Competition Director and Technical Director are responsible for the issuing of ground keys.

Event duties are not difficult and include raking the sand pit after a child has jumped, recording results at field events, marking where the shot or discus lands and measuring the longest throw, amongst other tasks. Often, it is an opportunity to see your child participate up close, however, please remember you cannot coach whilst officiating.

If you are concerned about fulfilling a duty, please talk to one of the centre committee personnel or contact your club committee. There may be admin tasks that can be done from home during the week or we may ask you to assist with sales of uniforms, sewing on Jetstar badges etc.

We are all volunteers and Little Aths cannot run without your help.

Thank you for your assistance.

CROSSING THE TRACK to go to the INFIELD

Please do not cross the track at any time unless you are an official or athlete going to a field event – it is dangerous for all concerned and there is a risk of crashing into an athlete who may be competing in a track event - sprint or circular.

There are designated safe crossing points which are at the end of each straight (near the canteen at the 100m start line and near the recording bunker beyond the timing gates at the other end).  These may change now that the infield has been redesigned.

Please also be aware that, with the exception of On Track, only athletes are permitted at events - parents should not be on the infield unless they are officiating.
